Food Porn Quickie

Hey, everyone. Glad to be back home here at SWC. Blogging for River was great. I especially enjoyed turning everything all pink and flowery. As promised, I have food porn for you today, but I don't have the time for a long, leisurely food porn report, so we're going to do what the title suggests and just have a quickie.

Tin Fish last night ruled. I had been dreaming about those delicious oysters since my lunch a few weeks ago. I really can't get them off my mind, even now. My friend J and I started with a half dozen, three from Delaware, three from off the Washington coast. Although the dinner was to celebrate her recent engagement, I still resented her having any. That's how much I love them.

The West Coasts were huge in comparison to the last batch. So salty and divine, I had to order three more. They went awesome with the Australian rose bubbly we ordered, and I know I'm staring down the barrel of an ugly mollusk addiction after last night.

We split the yellow and red tomato salad with shaved onions, feta cheese and watercress. It was delicious, and I don't even usually care for tomatoes. They were firm, juicy and sweet. You know a tomato is good if I'll eat it.

We then shared the surf and turf pasta. The filet was so rare, totally my style, not at all the medium rare we agreed upon for J's sake. The lobster was tender and sweet. Orrecetti pasta with asparagus and cream sauce finished us. No room for dessert or coffee.

As far as food porn goes, I'm being very selfish. I got what I wanted, and I don't care if I'm leaving you unsatisfied. Now, off to work on my transcript of the conversation I had with one hell of an entertaining individual.
